Share your skills as part of a short-term project team in the District!

Let's DO something! Be the first Hearts & Hammers ministry team!

What: Assemble tricycles, clean warehouse, box trykes for shipment
When: Thursday, March 19, 9am-1pm, Lunch provided
Where: HK Tryke Incorporated, 15 McDonough Street, Dayton
Why: Non-profit corporation (501c3) where all proceeds help Dayton area children through preschool child care and other children's ministries
Who: Minimum of five people

District Disaster Response Training

Let’s form a District Disaster Response Team!

What: Training in Basic Emergency Response, Case Management
When: April 19-22 (Sunday night to Wednesday noon)
Where: Epworth Forest UM Camp, North Webster, Indiana
If you have training from your job, let us know if you would contribute your skill to a District team but cannot be part of the training. Contact Rev. Linda Hedden, Assistant to the DS, at lhedden@wocumc.org or 9 37.454.4120

Thanks Living Cruise for Missions
What: An intergenerational trip giving thanks for God’s creation, family, friends and Christian Community. Special activities around Caring for God’s Creation for adults, children and teens
When: November 22-29 (Thanksgiving Week)
Where: Depart Tampa, Florida., Key West, Guatemala, Belize (San Victor site led by Belize Mission Leader from Lewisburg UMC), Mexico
Cost: Beginning at $789 per person with all meals and many ship activities-

3 and 4 sharing same cabin travel at $164 per person. Includes a $25 gift per person to fund District Missions in 2010
