God is on the move on Xenia Avenue! On Saturday, October 29th, hundreds of children and their families flooded Xenia Avenue and New Hope Church for Trunk or Treat (see attached picture). Several families returned the following day to join us for worship and, last weekend (Nov. 6th), 260 people attended two worship services at New Hope Church, a new attendance record for New Hope. 20 servants from Christ UMC South Campus invaded to provide and serve dinner and to love on the community that night. And this weekend, we are scheduled to baptize 6 people during our weekend worship experiences. Next weekend, we'll hand out 50 thanksgiving baskets, many to families we haven't yet met (through a partnership with Ruskin School) in partnership with our friends from Christian Life Center and serve our annual Thanksgiving Feast after worship to more than 200 people, catered and served by Coldwater Cafe in Tipp City and a small group from Medway Church. God is changing hearts and lives one life at a time on Xenia Avenue and this Thanksgiving season, we're grateful that we get to ride the wave of His Spirit as God moves to transform a hurting community.
